Léo Dirringer 'Metisse' 2020
Young Alsatian winemaker Leo Dirringer is one of the most exciting organic wine producers of today. Hailing from Dambach la Ville, surounded by vines, it only made sense that his future would involve grapes. He took over his parents estate in 2016 and began converting it to organic viticulture. The skins of Muscat d'Alsace, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer are left in contact with the juice from Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc for a week to produce this wine. This process results in a wine with velvety acidity, hints of rose water on the nose and an aromatic palette with a long refreshing finish.
